4x2 Hydro Excavator

My role on this project was as follows

1. - Assist in the sales process​

• Complete an initial design and specify a vehicle to suit customer requirements

2. - Complete detailed design​​

• 3D modelled and designed all aspects of the finished vehicle

• Finalise weight calculations & driveline design 

• Liaise with customer and confirm final design met customer requirements

• Prepare detailed construction drawings, component details and parts lists

3. - Assist workshop with fabrication​

• Assist workshop using fabrication, troubleshooting all issues that arose during build

4. - Redesign control systems to simply commissioning and operation​

4. - Prepare operation and maintenance manual, and specify maintenance plan for vehicle ​

Key Achievement

Improved drawing details and the way that the job was organised and communicated to fabricators, resulted in 30% less fabrication time
